Green Tea Facial Steam

you can have an inexpensive facial steam that can open your skin's pores while deeply cleaning and nourishing your skin's layers. I love the Idea of using Green Tea simply because its actually skin friendly herb and is all-natural ingredients. I normally do this once a week, the results is by far satisfying!

By creating a facial steam infused with green tea in order to achieve added benefits. Green tea has been the tea of choice in Eastern cultures. Filled with antioxidants, it can protect your skin from free radicals and leave you with a youthful, healthy glow. (worried? do your research!, I guarantee you is all proven!)

Things You'll Need:

  • Pot of water
  • Stove
  • Towel
  • Potholder
  • Green Tea toner (self made)
  • Cold water

Instructions :

  • Step 1

Take a deep pot and boil water. Turn off the stove and either place a green tea bag in the water or open the tea bag and release the leaves into the pot. Let the water sit and cool for a few minutes while the green tea settles into the water.

  • Step 2

Pull hair back from the face. Use a headband, ponytail or both, depending on how short or long your hair is.

  • Step 3

Prepare the location of your facial steam. Place a pot on a potholder near the edge on the surface of a table. Place a chair in front of the pot. Sit in front of the pot. If the water is so hot that it is painful, wait until it cools to a warm but manageable temperature.

  • Step 4

Place the towel over your head and create a tent. Lean forward above the pot and let your head hang over the steam pot. Be sure not to sit too close. Remain over the pot for 15 minutes.

  • Step 5

Use cool water to rinse face and apply the green tea toner ( below is the instruction for the toner)

    Green Tea Toner :

Its rather simple, all u need is boiling water, a cup, green tea leaves (or a teabag) and a container for storage!

pour the boiling water. 1/2 cup

a tablespoon of green tea (or one teabag)

Leave it to cool. drain the leaves and store into a container. DONE!

when apply, dap the toner on a facial cotton and apply onto face.

  • * you can store the toner in a airtight container and leave it in your fridge for a week. The toner is best used every night before going to bed.*

    IT'S ALL SIMPLE AND NATURAL!

Chocolate face mask recipe for soft & nourishing skin

U guys must be thinking " what a waste! ".Its not at all if u want ur skin to be perfect! imagine not only u consume the delicious chocolate but u able to apply it as well, ur skin will look even more yummier... how cool aint it?! (By the way... Im a Chocoholic!)

This chocolate face mask recipe is an excellent moisturizer that leaves your skin soft and glowing.

before I give u the ingredient, i definitely would like to brief on the containing in chocolate and how is it related to the skin :-

Known about since the times of the Mayas and the Aztecs, chocolate has a special place in our nutrition. It is filled with tryptophan, an essential amino acid that is a precursor of serotonin, neurotransmitter that is thought to regulate mood.Recently, a very popular massage offered in beauty salons is chocolate massage. It is one of the most gentle and relaxing
available. Not only is it beneficial to the skin, it helps stabilize your mood by initiating serotonin release. It is very rejuvenating and helps you feel more at peace, happy, and relaxed.I have also heard of chocolate body wax, similar to honey based honey wax. What makes it effective is sugar present in it, that makes it sticky and able to adhere to hairs. Due to fatty acids present in cocoa, the skin becomes soft and nourished.Cocoa powder, which is what chocolate is made of, is a wonderful and powerful antioxidant. It protects and frees the skin from free radicals, that cause significant damage to skin layers. It is a mistake to think that chocolate causes acne. Although chocolate has been blamed as one of the causes of acne, this has not been scientifically proven as of yet. Actually, dermatologists say that what causes acne in people who consume chocolate is milk that is added to it, not the chocolate itself. it has free radicals present, and is far from detrimental so don't let a little myth stop you from consuming this divine treat :)

Back to chocolate face mask recipe...This cocoa recipe has many variations. It might as well be called cocoa powder facial mask recipe as you really need cocoa, not chocolate to prepare it. But you must agree, for the sake of skin care, chocolate mask sounds so much more appealing.

    Chocolate face mask recipe

    Ingredients

1/3 cup cocoa1/4 cup of honey2 tablespoons of heavy cream (sour cream will work as well)3 teaspoons of oatmeal powder

    Preparation

Mix all the ingredient until the mass in consistent. Apply on the face, gently massaging it so that oatmeal can start exfoliating the dead skin cell layer. Leave it on for about 20 minutes and rinse off with lukewarm water.

    In case you are wondering...

there is a reason oatmeal and honey are added to this mix. Similar to its use in body scrub recipes, oatmeal it is recommended for sensitive skin, but can be used in preparation of facial masks for any skin type, as well as for preparation of facial exfoliants as it is gentle on the skin, yet highly powerful.

Honey on the other hand, is a great anti-bacterial agent, deeply cleanses your skin, and opens up clogged pores.

Now that you know all these benefits of chocolate, not only can you be guilt free while eating it, you can prepare an excellent chocolate face mask recipe and aid to your skins youthful look and nourishment.

Its so natural and you actually noe what really contains in ur lip gloss without any doubts! If you are prone to chapped lips you will love making your own homemade lip gloss because you can add just the right ingredients in amounts that are perfect for your lips.

A good lip gloss can very expensive and often you do not get very much more your money. Learning how to make homemade lip gloss will not only save you money but it will you give the opportunity to make a lip gloss that is unique and perfect for you.

    Select Your Base

Most home made lip gloss recipes begin with a base of either Vaseline or Beeswax. If you are looking for extra moisture you will want to use Vaseline or petroleum jelly. When you're just learning how to make lip gloss, Vaseline is a good start; it is not simple to use, and unlike beeswax, it doesn't require any additional equipment. Vaseline and beeswax will give you a slippery smooth lip gloss. A beeswax base will make a lip gloss that is firmer and more of a lip balm. It offers excellent protection from the sun, wind and weather. But seens i have Vaseline at home, i use that instead!

    Next - Get Creative!

Using Vaseline or beeswax as your base, add ingredients for flavor, extra moisture, aroma or whatever you want to try to turn a generic homemade lip gloss into a one of a kind for you. Here are a few recipes to get you started.

Here is a Really Easy Homemade Lip Gloss Recipe

    Honey Lip Balm

    1 tsp Vaseline / beeswax
    1 tsp of honey
    2 tsp almond oil

Melt the Vaseline / beeswax in the microwave. Heat the ingredients in small increments of time so as not to overheat. Combine ingredients in a small bowl and whisk to blend completely. Pour into a small pot and let cool until set.

    Mint Lip Gloss

Melt 1 Tablespoon of Vaseline or petroleum jelly in the microwave as in previous recipe. Add 2-3 drops of peppermint to taste. Pour in pot. Let cool and set.

    Other ingredients to try:

    Cocoa powder
    Flavored Drink Crystals
    Kool-Aid
    Sweet Almond Oil
    Peppermint Essential Oil
    Coconut Oil
    Vitamin E
    Crushed Rose Petals
    Aloe Vera

Adding oil base ingredients will add moisturizing properties to your home made lip gloss. Vitamin E and Aloe Vera will promote healing and add anti-inflammatory properties. Mix up a lip gloss that is exactly what you need right now. You can always make something different next time!

So far i have tried cocoa powder, sweet almond oil and aloe vera! Love it so much, in fact i stop buying expensive lip gloss out there! now totally love my lips!

in fact its a great way for yummy Kissable lips! haha...!
